A graduate of Columbia University [Ben Feibleman] who was accused of sexual assault declared victory after a legal settlement required the university to reinstate his revoked degree. Advocates for sexual assault victims say the outcome could have lasting repercussions.
Colleges and universities should not be holding these tribunals. If there is a crime committed in should be reported to the police and prosecutor under the law where of the defendants have full rights. If the defendant is found not guilty, the college or university should allow the student back with no restrictions.
