Well, yes and no. It is a very hard thing to approach. It is not the man himself that is the issue or at fault. Rather, the overall culture itself. While I completely agree men can and do get harrassed, raped, stalked, etc, it is still not to often at a level where a majority of men fear dealing with any of it on a daily basis in their lives. As to where most women I know do actually deal with this on a DAILY basis, and war of attrition has worn them so much, their fear is so commonplace. So, it feels like, "I'm scared to say no. what if they are that radical person who kills me or rapes me anyways or stalks me". There are still radical males out there all over the news and perhaps mentally, we make these choices because if it feels like our choice vs rape, it is easier to cope with on a daily basis. The intent is NEVER to make every guy out to be a rapist. This is why consent is so important. The best thing to do to protect yourself as a man, is to refrain from sex until you know the lady well enough and have talked about sex. It isn't the most "turn on" way to go, but it is a result of the culture around us. All it takes is 1 bad egg to ruin the entire thing. I hope it helps from a different perspective.
