What's even more disgusting is that, the only reason she's in jail right now, is because she didn't uphold the "No-Contact" order and that she didn't pay him the 50.000$+ in parental support which she owes him. In no way did she face ANY consequences for having lied about sexual abuse (of a child, no less, which could have gotten him killed in the short time he was incarcerated), potentially having ruined his life.

The law needs to change and there needs to be implemented a new law or system which works as a deterrent, which is that if you lie about these things, you get punished just as bad as for the crime you accused someone for. There will be no other way to fix this unfortunately, and it's honestly quite saddening that we have to do this to anyone, but why can people not just be good to one another? I don't get it.

I wonder how old the Daughter was, as if she was a teen and hence old enough to know right from wrong, i would have no problem disowning the daughter completely as the father. you cant stab me in the back and try and throw me in jail and then all is forgiven because it failed, she can get fucked (if that was the case)

that poor guy though

Absolutely true. Fuk'em both. Cho-Moes get destroyed in prison. Cho-moes are green light for clout.

The lawyer called it child abuse and talks about children, so I’m betting they aren’t a teen yet.

[–]TegridyAsshole 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lawyers will claim child abuse up to 17 given the legal status of having been a child; same reason child support runs to 18.

If the daughter was old enough to meet the age of majority, then she should be prosecuted for lying. “They told me to do it” is not and has never been a defense - didn’t work for any of the Nazi’s we hung and shouldn’t work here.

You know I just have to say,and sure maybe I'm reading to deep into this, but the photo they used really says a lot. We're talking about sexual assault. One of the most inexcusable things you can do to another living person and yet they chose a cartoon as the illustration. It is a bit symbolic though. Women often get a slap on the wrist for these accusations so it is kind of a joke. It just rubbed me the wrong way because a man's EVERYTHING was on the line for this lie.

[–]HipEvilMidget[S] 15 points16 points17 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yes. 100%. Whats really sick is there are people out there who will defend her actions... implying she's really just the victim in all of this.

[–]Dr-EM87 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If the husband managed to get custody and the house before the accusations started flying, the wife must have been a crazy unfit mother from the beginning

Every woman will always applaude at this. They'll call it paypack and uniformally agree.

[–]SimpleBuffoon 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Every woman will always applaude at this.

Bullshit. There are loads of women on our side these days.

[–]bluewolf37 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can bet if he was believed to have done this his picture would be all over. This is the second article i saw today that didn’t show the woman’s photo.

I agree that you are reading too much into the "symbolism" of using a cartoon; Newspapers frequently use cartoons for illustrating heavy subjects, such as war and political policies. What's more, they didn't create it in house, but grabbed something "somewhat relevant" from a pre-bought pile (see the Getty photo credit). One could argue that not having any illustration might have been better, but assuming you are going to have an illustration, I don't think the one they have is horrible.

Stories like this aren't exposed enough, and are always written off as something that rarely happens. Why? Because it damages the feminist narrative about men and abuse always being at the hands of a man. Plenty of men haven't been as lucky as this guy. I can't imagine serving prison time and having my daughter taken away because of lies told by her mother. I'd probably kill myself. I bet a lot of men have.

[–]FuckRedditsADMIN 17 points18 points19 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Personally and i am being serious here, I think it would push me to murder, if someone knowingly got me imprisoned under completely false claims maliciously made (i.e not mistaken but actively and knowingly bullshit specifically to harm me), when i got out i would legit murder them, or at the very least crush their legs or arms to the point of permanent disability

[–]bardownhalfclap 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is a much better option, as long as you can get through prison as a kid fiddler.

[–]de_carole 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What do you mean when you got out?

Lol if you are going to jail anyway, might as well as earn it

[–]MxCmrn 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This happened to a buddy I met in the army. His mentally unstable / drug addict sister, accused their dad of sexual abuse because he was going to send her to rehab. The dad ended up killing him self. A couple of years later, my bud’s new step dad decided he liked to get drunk and beat the shit out of him. After the better part of a year, he runs away and lives on the street until he turns 18 and joins the army. This all comes up, because he gets a call from the sister, because she supposedly wants to make amends. Ridiculous

Aannnd this is why I’m scared of women with kids.... too many occasions where you’re left alone with kid..

[–]Papasaurus-extinctus 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well she fucked up

[–]Miserable-Lemon 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Note how naturally the reflex to lie comes.

[–]SultanSaatana 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A big loss for feminism.

The fact that the dailywire feels the need to say they are a conservative news service leads me to believe presenting this article is an attempt to persuade people towards a political leaning, which is not news (hence the limited reporting and taking the words of a lawyer at face value).

[–]HipEvilMidget[S] 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes, the dailywire is conservative and they don't hide their bias, unlike all the mainstream media. Glad to know that your biggest concern of the article is the website that published the story and not the content. What is conservative about reporting justice??

[–]HomemadeMacAndCheese -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

This isn't pussy pass denied, this is someone committing a terrible crime and being punished for it.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

She didn't get away with her crime just because she was female. Sounds like PPD to me.

[–]HomemadeMacAndCheese -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

So literally anytime a woman is convicted of a crime it's a pussy pass denied? That sounds pretty boring

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Given its rarity, not so much

[–]HomemadeMacAndCheese 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Lol what? Surely you can't possibly think it's RARE for women to be charged with crimes?!

[–]Dr-EM87 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Being put in jail for being a deadbeat parent? Yeah, that’s pretty rare

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I suggest you look into something called sentencing disparity sometime.
