There's no excuse for people to believe it takes penetration to rape someone. If a woman drugs or blackmails an unwilling man to have sex with him, then she has intent to rape that man. If she succeeds, he was raped.

Agree with the post, you'll get a better response if you just stick to one issue (rape of women by men should be a crime) rather than confusing the post by also bringing in issues such as paternity fraud.

Sex - consent = rape

Piv Sex for men = penetration
Piv Sex for women = engulfment

If a woman engulfs the man's penis in her vagina without his conscious wilful consent, she is raping him. So, yes. Women can rape. Denial of it is misogyny.

Per the fourteenth amendment, we all have a right to equal protection under the law.

A prohibition on penetration without consent protects women from damage to their reproductive system, STDs, and unintended pregnancy.

What does a prohibition on being forced to penetrate protect men from? Nothing, really.

Someone raping a male can damage his reproductive system without forcing him to penetrate anything, they can expose him to STDs without forcing him to penetrate anything, and if a female rapist's objective is to impregnate herself against the victim's will the most obvious methods (paternity fraud, birth control sabotage, etc.) would not involve coercing the act of penetration itself but rather other steps in the sexual reproductive process. And I suppose a female rapist could even use artificial insemination to impregnate herself without penetration at all.

Even when the laws are written to recognize male victims, they still don't help male victims. There still isn't equal protection.

What would equally protect men?

A ban on 1) touching anyone's genitals without their consent or 2) causing a pregnancy without the consent of the other parent.

This definition of rape wouldn't include forcible sodomy. But that can be it's own law.

for Brock Turner, the CA college student, he used his finger and is the posterboy of rape now. One college professor put Brock Turner's photo in her college textbook by the word rape yet he never had his pants off.... just used his finger. He was charged with sexual assault by the way, not charged with rape.

It's not so much what people believe as how laws are written from state to state. Lots of times the law specifies "forced penetration" to be a prerequisite for a rape prosecution. We should change the laws so that "forced envelopment" is also in the statute to remove women's special status that currently makes them unable to rape anyone in certain jurisdictions.

I was raped by a woman. She got me very drunk and despite me saying "No" and "Not like this" she forced penetration. I was afraid that if I pushed her off she could say it was me assaulting her so I let her finish.
