There are several types of Domestic Violence:

- Unidirectional (one way violence), Bidirectional (basically combat), Self-defensive violence, non self-defensive violence, Male on Male, Male on Female, Female on Male, Female on Female, etc.

However, when we hear about Domestic Violence, the focus is usually on one type: the male is the perpetrator, and the female is the victim (heterosexual couple). So, thanks to the Feminist monopoly on victimization, in public discourse, Domestic Violence usually means: Male on Female non self-defensive violence (minor or severe).

We very rarely hear about Gay Men being the victims of Domestic Violence.

I feel there are very few resources at the disposal of Gay Men and funding is a huge problem too.

To my knowledge, in North America, there are no shelters specifically for gay men who are victims of domestic violence. Is that correct?

I feel that the specific reality of their situation is not recognized.

So I believe that we have to stand together with Gay Men, when it comes to Domestic Violence.
