It's ok.to shoot up. I only date women prettier than me. It's a low bar though. I wonder what kind of trolls I'd bring home otherwise.

I want equal pay so I can date someone with higher pay, and then I can get equal with that guy and so on and so forth.

Truly equal pay is an exception; e.g., pay scales exist per role, but experience, skills and qualifications are also taken into account.

For example: my first IT job: I was getting 17k a year, my colleague doing EXACTLY the same job as me was getting 25k a year.

We carried out exactly the same Linux Server tasks, around 30 tasks per day, exactly the same issues to resolve.

The difference: he had 3 years experience, but this was my first IT job.

Did I kick off? No, because I understood the reason why he earned more than me, and he had worked hard to get to that level of experience.

Yep. It's f*cked up. The Pay gap is because women don't work as much. Cause they do not feel the pressure to be providers. Men on the other hand are reduced for providers and I've attacked for daring to want a fair deal. Women have more career opportunities than Men yet Men are the ones reduced to providers.

A mix of traditional values combined with feminism.

Its traditional, and somewhat ingrained within us, that men are providers, protectors and whatnot, that not an inherently bad thing at all. Gives you an idea of what to expect and for men to know how to act.

BUT, in recent history, more women getting into work and shooting for the moon, and good for them, you got the skills, go for it. Which leads directly to women who are now earning resources on their own still holding the idea in their heads they should only go for guys who earn more than them, that can provide for them.

These are inherently unmixey, but instead of looking internally, women have been told that they shouldn't 'settle' and the like. So they blame men. Basically, their roles and options have changed, but their expectations have stayed the same, and those expectations placed on men, have stayed the same. Instead of looking just for a guy who can provide and at least financially, thats all thats really needed, they need to keep going up, but since those who earn huge swaths of cash, hundreds of thousands, millions, etc, are actually a very small percentage of the population...theres just not many men to go around(seemingly).

So competition is fierce and even more than that, those guys tend to look for....well, not these women, they tend to look for younger women, more attractive women that they can easily attract because these values that are being held by career women are also held by these younger women, who might not want to work, or maybe are more traditional and just want to keep the house neat and raise some kids.

Women who earn more than men tend to have less respect for them, thats not on men, but its just...expected. Weirdly enough, career women tend to value earnings and assets so highly that they dig their own grave, so to speak. So instead of just accepting that a man might be perfect, aside from his finances, they continue looking to date up, then complain there are no men for them and thats mens fault. And thats not me saying that, literally its been brought up a bunch of times that men are earning less, that there are not enough 'financially attractive' men by those who should supposedly opposing such things, feminists.

Hypocrites rarely recognize their own hypocrisy, especially if they are also narcissists.

I'm not sure which women you're talking to, but personally I'd like equal pay & to move up in salary to a point that my boyfriend doesn't have to work. He's more interested in the raising kids part than I am, so that would be ideal. It's also the situation that his parents had, his mom was the one who worked and his dad stayed at home with kids.

Of course there are some shitty people who only care about money in a partner. But I don't think that's the norm. Plus those people are bound to be disappointed if they're placing the most value in something that isn't even related to who their partner is as a person.

I'd say if someone has that as one of their expectations, it's actually a pretty good red flag to not get into a relationship with them.
