The Anti Male, but More Specifically, the **Anti White Male Bias** in Academic Research Absolutely Needs to Stop.

There is a lot of bad science out there, guys.

Studies published by researchers with very little or no empirical training, published by people who turn beliefs, convictions and historiographic fairy tales into facts.

This is hurting public discourse obviously, because these studies, the embodiment of a reckless disregard for Science, because they are widely cited by people who cannot tell good and bad science apart (it requires training), induce confusion, and thanks to the circle of experts effect, these studies are granted institutional objectivity.

The Anti White Man bias is something that permeates a lot of bad research being published today, and it needs to stop - in the name of Science.

These studies, a continual desecration of Science, are dishonest and only aim to be published and cited by other researchers - the aim is to be so widely cited that you gain authority via repetition. The other experts part of the circle of experts will not challenge or question these studies - and sometimes their funding depends on them not challenging bad science. Challenging bad science might mean not only the loss of one's financial lifeline, but also, as Matthias Matussek (Der Spiegel) says, Institutional humiliation:

"The zone of death, the ice of silent rejection, the complete lack of response from peers. Researchers who speak out against bad science, in the name of Science, are immediately ostracized, cast out, rejected."

We have come to a point where the extra-scientific, the demonization of the White Man, is more important than the scientific layer and even determines the orientation of research.

Even Astronomy is not safe from Anti White Man hysteria: " This white paper explains that professional astronomy has benefited from settler colonial white supremacist patriarchy. We explicate the impact that this has had on communities which are not the beneficiaries of colonialism and white supremacy " ( https://arxiv.org/abs/2001.00674 ).

Even Logic, Mathematics and Physics are being casually and conveniently dismissed by Academics as "White Man Linear Thinking", as historically conditioned ways of thinking. Science is increasingly dominated by "researchers" who deprecate the value of logical "linear" thinking that they hold to be a deplorable characteristic of the dreaded and hated... drumroll... wait for it... patriarchy.

Hatred of the white male and hatred of Science in one sentence: "Isaac Newton's Principia Mathematica is a "rape manual" because  "science is a male rape of female nature." ( Sandra Harding of University of Delaware and Susan McClary)

Here's another one: "Our culture, including all that we are taught in schools and universities, is so infused with patriarchal thinking that it must be torn up root and branch if genuine change is to occur.  Everything must go - even the allegedly universal disciplines of logic, mathematics, and science, and the intellectual values of objectivity, clarity, and precision on which the former depend." This is somewhat similar to what total-rej (total rejection) feminists have been trying to do since the 60's, with no success, that is rejecting Science as patriarchal constructions of knowledge and replacing Science with alternative versions: feminist physics or chemistry or here, Indigenous physics - as equally valid as the physics that we know.

The Anti Man, but more specifically the Anti White Man bias is something that needs to be addressed aggressively.
