Question about toxic masculinity

Some issues I have:

TM is mostly a list of neutral and positive traits, many of them being things like 'having a competitive nature' or 'not talking about their feelings'. TM doesn't understand that rage is how many men express anxiety.
TM also represents the kind of personality Feminists want women to embrace. They want men to be women and women to be men.
Society doesn't actually like boys or men who talk about their feelings, and will punish them for it. Men report women losing interest in them as soon as they do, or attacking them. When men try to open up about being abused by women, the same Feminists who invented TM openly laugh in their faces and call them abusers.
Most men don't actually benefit from female methods of dealing with problems. The great lie with TM is that women are perfect and that men must be more like women. This is harmful to men. Men prefer to go into their own space with other men. They don't want to be in a confrontational one on one or group therapy session where they try to be vulnerable with strangers. Men hate feeling vulnerable. They are better off with solutions to their problems and with masculine outlets for their emotions.

Yeah, it's just a term to label and occupy men to bicker about the term and say they're mean so they don't see what's going on. It's a distraction.

Almost all men think men are mean, rapists, pedophiles, murderers, violent, so a little term that's going to make them waste their time defining who's a mean man or a nice man is very convenient for feminism. To question this term is to assume that it really exists and that men are the bad guys and women are the victims.

I wonder if this is not a feminist subreddit that is supposed to canalize men and redirect them towards the path of submission.

It's just pathetic.

Bullying is often seen as toxic masculinity. What about when girls bully other girls? Toxic Masculinity, right?

Individual Behavior is toxic and neither general has a lock on it.

Toxic masculinity is a get away term used by feminists in place of "all men and boys are potential rapist". Some even go to great length by saying "masculinity makes men to commit rape" or "boys should be castrated to get rid of masculinity because it's toxic by nature".

Saying toxic masculinity is no different than saying colour black is toxic to demonize people of colour.

I'm posting this up to anyone that asks about what toxic masculinity is. It should help clear things up because it's total gibberish and you have to know a lot about the feminist movement to really understand what they're doing with it. A lot of feminists don't even understand toxic masculinity, they're just parroting what they've read online or been taught by their professors.

The term "toxic masculinity" is not much different from the terms "savage" or "heathen" as used by the colonial powers.

It's just victim blaming and justification for exploitation.

I see toxic masculinity as a societal standard created and mainly used by feminists to push the ideology that men are bad because they’re men. People who use toxic masculinity are likely people who deny toxic femininity used to combat TM. I don’t believe either is real because gender doesn’t have anything to do with being a good person, but often than not, men are taught in childhood to treat women like queens and that they are nothing but servants for them, while women are taught to fear men with no justifiable reason. Both systems can condition a child to resent the other sex, and I believe it’s time for that to stop.

"Toxic masculinity" is hate speech. Here's the reasoning.

In modern main stream media, psychology and social sciences literature and scientific literature generally, groups identified by specific racial, sex, gender, sexual preference or other characteristics, are described using sensitive empathetic language that at least does not offend or more commonly is preferentially adopted or approved by many people of that identity. Those people who continue to use offensive labels are often accused of “hate speech” or “phobic” behaviours (i.e. homophobia, islamophobia). Why is a different, less empathetic approach used to speech related to men? Those using the term must justify this difference in approach, but never do.

The nebulous and negative term "toxic masculinity" has been imposed on men and boys despite many men stating that it is offensive. None of the behaviours considered toxic are described in the term, other than being male. While many users of the term repeatedly claim that the underlying meaning of the term is misunderstood, this disengenuous proposition suggests that offensive terms can be used so long as an underlying meaning can be defined, however poorly. Again, this is an entirely different less empathetic approach to speech related to men, compared to speech used for other social groups.

Blaming and demeaning men when they challenge the use of this term, and suggesting that men offended by the term are exhibiting "toxic masculinity" is trite and childish. Like similar schoolyard taunts and bullying, it reveals the offensive nature of the terms by using it as an insult. Again, this is an entirely different approach being applied to speech related to men. Imagine challenging african Americans or LGBTQI people as to their rights to be offended by hate speech (remember for these groups what constitutes hate speech is decided by them, not those using the hate speech).

Continuing to use a label considered offensive by many men, suggests an entrenched culture of gender bias and a less than benevolent attitude to men and boys generally. As many peer reviewed academic authors have recognised, hate speech like “toxic masculinity” may be more toxic than the behaviours it pretends to describe.

I see at as people using masculinity to justify behaviour that is violent or otherwise harmful. Boys don’t cry, men should never complain, etc. are a big part of it, and contribute to many of the problems men face in society. It’s also reinforced by many women, to be fair, and toxic femininity is a similar problem for them. My issue with the term mainly comes from the fact that it is commonly used to blame men for the problems they face, which is a pretty reductive argument.
