I'm someone who feels like it shouldn't matter and that subdividing ourselves into camps is not serving us.

When the police kill someone in the US without a trial, that person is innocent by definition. This is unacceptable.

It's not a "black person" or a "white person". We are ONE nation under God, and when one of us gets killed by the police without a trial, that is one of US.

But I do get your point about the men. I actually brought it up with a feminist recently. It took about 3 minutes to get her to understand I wasn't talking just about black men, but all men. She got offended, quickly told me that men commit more crimes than women do and then cited a black woman who was recently killed in a no-knock arrest. (Which, btw, I think is equally terrible)

Deceptocrats believe division is power and they attempt to bribe women and minorities into voting for them with special status. It would better fit their narrative if they could present this issue as "white males are attacking you, vote for us to be safe".

#BlackLivesMatter is a valid slogan based on the fact that black people are disproportionately mistreated and violence against black people is high.

Black people commit violent crimes at a much higher rate and therefore they have more police encounters.

When you control for that and look at police shootings per million people from each group, you'll see that there is no systemic bias or racism.

Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization that is intent on destroying the nuclear family. (they say exactly that right on their website)

That also don't want police to wear body cameras which tells you how serious they are about police reform. They want to be able to use every single police killing to further their agenda, and if these incidents are caught on camera that makes or difficult for them. (although not impossible, as we've seen the media will push their lies)

Police who abuse their power or break the law need to be held accountable for their actions and punished to the full extent of the law. That's what we should be focusing on instead of this non-existent "systemic racism" bullshit.

As to your main point that there's a better case to be made for discrimination towards men, you're right, but BLM and others on their side are not debating in good faith so it does no good to use their arguments against them.

Now is the charts demographics divided by race as well or is that out of the whole population?

By that I mean: I belive that black Americans make up approx 10-15% of the population. So is the chart representing out of 100k black Americans 100ish would be victims or is it representing out of 100k americans there would be 100ish black victims? This could really change the numbers and highlight an even more amplified problem

When you say ratios or proportion isn't it incumbent on the person who shows that if you even out both sides of the equation that the number from both sides will go up proportionally. The other problem is that proportions use 'hypothetical' victims while ignoring real victims. e.g. If there was a fund that gave out 1 million dollars to victims of police brutality, white people (mostly men) would get approx 2x as much money as black people (mostly men) AND if it's about race even in the slightest one would think that black women should be near black men and exceed white men, but they don't. Nowhere even close. The last figures I checked had the difference between men and women (who are approx the same in numbers) at approx 25 to 1.
