High school girls admitted to targeting and falsely accusing a boy of sexual assault because they 'just don't like him'. Boy was fired from his job, forced to serve time in a juvenile detention facility, is now home-schooled and suffers psychological trauma. School officials just didn’t care.

Now the feminists will be all upset. They never want to be responsible for their actions.

[–]perplexedm 12 points13 points14 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

They will show a 'poor women' publicly shamed and abused in social media by misogynist incels in MRA forums excuse.

Then they will go into tons of 2xc forums like pinkpillfeminism, blackpillfeminism, trufemcels, femaledatingstrategy, gendercritical whatnot to abuse and blame men for it.

As NWA put it, “a bitch is a bitch”.

[–]Badgerz92 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's being spun as exclusively about race. Race might have played a part, but gender is usually the biggest factor and apparently she's a liberal Hillary Clinton supporter so misandry was definitely at play here.

Aw, poor girl was forced to apologize.

She would have happily had him locked up and charged with crimes he didn't commit, but her punishment was to say the words "I'm sorry." Yeah, seems fair.

[–]79johnsmith 14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She knows that she will get a slap on the wrist, while the man could have been arrested or worse, like Emmett Till, he could have lost his life.

There needs to be enforced consequences for false accusations but we know that isn't going to happen, a half-apology (seriously, it isn't even an apology) is all it takes to for people like her and Clementine Ford to carry on with their life.

Look at how she words her so-called apology:

“I’m not a racist. I did not mean to harm that man in any way”

"I think I was just scared, when you’re alone in the Ramble, you don’t know what’s happening. It’s not excusable, it’s not defensible.”

What kind of apology is that? All she did was to:

  1. gas-light / change the script - her actions stated that she would use his ethnicity to get her police proxy violence agents to come, but now she just says "I’m not a racist" and we're supposed to believe it;

  2. outright lying - she fully intended to harm him, threatening him with violence by police proxy, now she claims she "did not mean to harm.. in any way";

  3. shifting the blame, more lying - "i think i was just scared", sure if she was scared, she wouldn't have charged at him, making him fall back and ask her to not come near him; she wouldn't have played theatrics by screaming into the phone to give the impression that he is actively assaulting her;

What isn't in this 'apology' is obvious: There's no indication that she is remorseful, no indication that she is aware of what she did and regrets her actions, nor does she even own up to doing it.

There's no mention of the dog whatsoever. Nothing, its like the callus animal cruelty that she perpetrated choking and hanging the dog by its neck and strangling it never even impinged on her consciousness.

[–]RunawayGrain 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, her treatment of others is pretty indicative. Still, though, the dog is in better hands now.

The video went viral, and the woman was soon identified as Amy Cooper. In fairly short order, the cocker spaniel rescue where she’d adopted her dog announced they had taken custody of the pooch — who was treated rather violently in the video — and her employer, Franklin Templeton Investments, released a statement announcing she’d been placed on administrative leave.

[–]drummeRears 13 points14 points15 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Good thing they took the dog away from her.

Fuck her apology. She knew she was being recorded and still acted that way. Imagine if the guy never recorded.

[–]79johnsmith 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

She never apologised. All she did was gas-light, lie and shift the blame.

[–]drummeRears 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I didn’t even read the “apology” fully because i knew it was more about being sorry for getting caught rather than being sorry for what she did. She goes on to blame the video of her for ruining her life then says “i was scared” WHATT??!? No remorse, no mercy for that piece of shit.

[–]79johnsmith 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're right, that's the only thing she's sorry about - getting caught.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

the statement from her employer:

“We take these matters very seriously, and we do not condone racism of any kind. While we are in the process of investigating the situation, the employee involved has been put on administrative leave,”

Hr 'apology':

Amy Cooper told CNN she wanted to “publicly apologize to everyone.”

“I’m not a racist. I did not mean to harm that man in any way,” she said, adding that she also didn’t mean any harm to the African American community.

To be clear, the reason her behavior was bad is because the man she falsely accused is black. There has been no statement from her or her employer about not condoning false accusations, no statement from the cops 'we are not your personal army'

Ladies, be on notice: When you call the police to murder innocent men, if there is a race angle and the whole thing is caught on video, you may have to issue a public apology.

why film shaming someone anyway?

[–]such-a-mensch 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Why film someone doing something shameful in public? IS that your question?

One reason might be to have evidence when some racist makes false claims about you to the police?

Frankly, if I were a black guy living in America, I'd be wearing a body cam 24/7 for my own damn protection.

This Christmas just past I told a guy to pick up his dog shit and he tried to attack me. People do this when challenged. This woman lost her fucking mind yes, but the guy clearly wanted it to happen to make a thing about. I didn't whip my phone out and record this man trying to fight me, I just walked away.

There is no evidence to suggest she would have acted like this if he didn't start by shouting a demand while filming - it's demeaning. The guy who got angry at me, I kinda don't blame - people do it, and make mistakes.

You people are fucking rabid dogs. I shouldn't say that. I doesn't really help. I just think if you look at this situation its really nothing. I feel bad for the dog in the situation but again she was clearly losing it and most likely is an okay dog owner when not panicking.

[–]79johnsmith 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Her position is indefensible, and what you're doing is making excuses and defending a compulsive animal abuser, who should be barred and blacklisted from owning any pets.

The reason why people film is because of George Floyd situations. If it was not filmed, it would be her word against his and because of a tainted record of police arrests where black men do not get out alive, like George Floyd, Gregory Gunn, just to name high profile cases that I recall.

Also, if he had recorded with the phone downward, we would have similar evidence to the 911 call - hearing her alleging that a man was threatening her, and screaming hysterically "the man is assaulting me!", with vastly different implications and outcomes.

Without the video, she would more than likely be allowed to continue abusing the dog till it died. The twitter feed has numerous people pointing out her Munchausen Syndrome.

In the short period of time that the dog has been under her care, it had suffered several questionable injuries (ripped nails, neck injuries) and near-deaths (drowning, choking), It is thanks to the video that the animal shelter was alerted and able to recall the dog to stop further abuse.

[–]AdamChap -4 points-3 points-2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"Her position is indefensible, and what you're doing is making excuses and defending a compulsive animal abuser, who should be barred and blacklisted from owning any pets. "

No really I'm defending an idea of a woman that may or may not exist. If it is the case she abuses animals then I am wrong, but it still stand you cannot take this from the video alone.

For someone who's recording because they are worried about the police he sure is begging her to call them isn't he?

[–]79johnsmith 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Look, she knew she was being video recorded, advanced on him, used the threat of police proxy violence and highlighted his ethnicity, then hysterically screamed into the 911 call to give the impression she was being assaulted. All the while choking her dog to death by hanging it high in its collar while it fights and struggles to breathe.

From the blatantly false allegations she was making in the 911 call, and the oscar-winning acting scream she gave, the police would have been urged to scramble to her location and would be on high alert, ready to use deadly force, potentially creating another George Floyd incident.

Had he not been video-recording, things could be very unpleasant for him, as this subreddit, /r/mensrights/, often highlights.

This is all in the video, what is there to defend, but your own feelings about the incident?

.

John E. W. Wayman – Prosecuting attorney of Cook county (Chicago). – 1912

“It appears absolutely impossible to find 12 men in this country who will convict a woman of murder. This mistaken idea of chivalry has resulted in numerous miscarriages of justice and a reckless abandon, on the part of women who are criminally inclined. All that is necessary for a woman is to retreat behind the protecting wall of her sex, and an avalanche of tears, and make no other defense.”

Maclay Hoyne – Illinois State’s Attorney of Cook County – 1914

“The manner in which women who have committed murder in this county have escaped punishment has become a scandal. The blame in the first instance must fall upon the jurors who seem willing to bring in a verdict of acquittal whenever a woman charged with murder is fairly good looking and is able to turn on the flood gates of her tears, or exhibit a capacity for fainting.”

Maybe if you were recording him he would have thought twice about it, or you'd have evidence if he did.

shouting a demand while filming - it's demeaning.

He only started recording after she refused his polite request.

[–]AdamChap -5 points-4 points-3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It seems so likely that if he had just told her without filming she would have just been embarrassed. If you start by filming you are already being extra rude. I think most people would, if they felt like a false accusation would come their way, would record with the phone pointed downward until the person proved to worthy of filming.

He's provoking the situation, so its just two idiots in a fucking park and we are like "sexism", "racism". Thought there would be less of that here.

[–]ProbablePenguin 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There is absolutely nothing provocative about filming in a public place to protect your own life.
