I have said it before and I will say it again, the justice system is broken. DA's care more about the win than justice. The law should be changed. If a new trial is granted the court should open with " We are here today to send a person to jail: will it be the defendant or will it be the prosecutor". Any prosecutor who chooses to bring a new trial over recanted testimony or confessions by others (rather than asking the courts to free the prisoner) should have to face a penalty for wasting court time and monies with a retrial. DA should be sentenced to 1 yr minimum should they lose the rehearing.
