I'd have to dig up the paper again, but I read that FBI statistics showed that domestic homicide was 60/40 male/female perpetration for spouses. Women who killed their children(and women kill their children at higher rates than men) were far more likely to kill sons than daughters, while men who killed children had parity for the sex of the children. Daughters who killed their parents overwhelmingly killed fathers over mothers, while sons IIRC had a slight majority in killing mothers over fathers. I don't recall the stats on fratricide/sororicide.

How much of that was a response to abuse or result of mental illness was not explored in the paper, just raw stats.

I recall not long ago a woman killed all her sons so they wouldn't grow up to abuse women in some twisted reality of feminist propaganda, nobody asked why she did it, although they did try and make excuses.
