This is very much the wrong way to do it but people do need to realize that their own behavior in a relationship can effect how the other person acts in response.

I would actually like to see just a little bit of this attitude directed at women, though not the purely sexist wholesale victim blaming.

So many women think it's okay to withhold sex in a relationship to assert their dominance over a man. That is a good example of how to drive someone away from you and towards someone else who will fulfill the needs you should be. Sex should be a way to express your love for each other and make each other happy and become closer.

In any situation where someone is in an explicitly committed relationship and has sex with someone outside of it they are doing something deceptive, they are betraying their agreement and disregarding their partner in it. But that doesn't mean the other person is blameless or didn't give them reason to turn away from them, just that the way they respond is wrong.
