So, here's the skinny on the 'nice guy' meme.

There are women out there who believe that their only value in this world in their sexuality. On some level it's not even their fault, they have been told their whole lives 'men only want one thing' so literally any time a man talks to them, even looks at them, they can only assume that he must want sex.

Enter the nice guy. He's at her office, he's in the line at the store, he's just passing by on the street, whatever. All we know about this guy is, he's nice. let's say he is happily married, has kids, fine upstanding member of his community, a friendly guy.

He encounters this woman, he smiles and says hello. She says "I have a boyfriend" , He is taken aback, he says the classic "Geez lady I was just trying to be nice!" or some other protest at what is actually an unfounded accusation, and he walks away.

What the woman experienced, what she will tell her friends and will post on her blog is: 'This creepy guy hit on me and I told him to fuck off, and then he started yelling about what a nice guy he is'

usually when they tell the story they embellish it with a bunch of mind reading and dramatic licence, 'I had noticed him leering at me, I could tell he wanted to rape me' but in the world of things that actually happened it really was that simple.

It's called attention seeking, you know all these social media posts you see of women whining about how they're always hit on? I suspect they use shit like this to drastically inflate their actual worth and either dig for sympathy or make it seem like they're more desirable than they actually are. This is something I've gleaned from seeing their bullshit posts on social media and the like. It's quite a clever trick and there isn't much a guy can say because it isn't about the guy, it's about them trying to increase their social status at the expense of a stranger.

As long as it's a total stranger it's not going to matter to them, it's kind of like how you see morons going around claiming they saw a potential paedophile and everything or they were 'almost' stalked or attacked in a bad part of town. For all we know it could be that it was just some guy walking past at night and he did absolutely nothing, but you're supposed to think "Oh my god! You poor angel! You've been through so much!" and if you don't you're an evil misogynist and how dare you doubt a woman.

I can't help but admire that level of manipulation, fortunately though, it's all these sorts of women tend to have digging for sympathy by writing up these alleged stories which in reality are no better than any other bullshit posted on social media but because there are a bunch of other women who want to reinforce this shit and desperate guys that think they'll get laid or get female attention they lap it up.

I lucked out by having coworkers that just about all of them have had some sort nasty relationship issues, they had no reason to assume I wanted to date them because everyone already knew their pasts.

Don't. Women make shitty friends. If you're not interested in sleeping with her, don't try to be her friend. You put yourself in the position to be used, and women don't respect men they aren't attracted to.

I think it's because girls are often told to be the "gatekeepers" and it's their fault for leading someone on. It's one of those "let's nip it before they mistake my kindness as interest" type of things.

I don’t talk to women I unless they talk to me. Not sure why guys still try. Quit being desperate it’s really not that hard. All this shit will continue as long as guys allow it. Quit giving women any attention and things will change not sure why you guys haven’t figured that out yet.

Yes but a lot of guys also like their girl to not chat it up with other makes while their not around or in general and some girls just find it rude I personally would prefer my girlfriend to do this would I make them no but still
