This is also the case in the UK. Divorce lawyers send coded messages to their female clients that a DV allegation would help their case.

It can rarely be proved but the damage is done with an allegation. Unfortunately an allegation from a female carries a lot more weight than one from a male.

This is very common in India. So common, that in fact, the lawyers provide standardised lines for the plaintiffs to say in front of the judge. With the emotions and everything. Some lawyers even have these printed out where they only enter the names/ locations/ time in the blank spaces to make their arguments.

The feminist lobby (women's groups) perfected it.
