As a woman once I find a boyfriend we would either split the bill or I pay for my food and he pays for his own. I just don’t think it’s fair that just because he is a man he has to to pay for the entire date.

In my single days I used online dating, regrettably. After about 5 dates where everything goes well, so you thought, and you paid for each date but each of them ghost you, you start to understand the game they play with you. Online dating for women is like meals on wheels. I wouldn't doubt that many of them have each meal 3 times a day paid for them by some guy desperate for attention and love.

Or it could be that men just think women who scream misogynist over who pays the first date are entitled brats and gold diggers who would make for horrible girlfriends anyway. There's a big difference between taking women for a date and simply feeding them.

This is something that's been really bothering me about their mentality but it just shows how arrogant they are that they think they can do this. A date doesn't even have to be about food, the fact that they think that in order for a date to be a date it has to revolve around food for fuck's sake shows exactly where this idiot's mentality lies.

I'm not going to lie, this annoys me, it particularly annoys me how fucking shallow you have to be that the first thing that springs to your mind when you think of men is food. I guarantee these women are terrible dates and even worse girlfriends which is why they scream at men in the first place.

Ask your date "do you mind if I pay for this one? It makes things easier for the cashier." This says: 1- you don't necessarily subscribe to the traditional norm of men paying for the first date (therefore not misogynist) 2 - you're interested in seeing this girl again and 3 - you at least try to be nice to/assist complete strangers (in this case, slightly reducing the workload on the cashier)

Their reaction to this will say a lot about them.
