Yes. The modern dating scene is a mess. Most guys fear approaching and fear rejection. From a male perspective Vigilantredrooster's chart is pretty accurate and it would be a good guide for you.

If men are asking for your number they are into you, it's that simple. Second, wear what makes you feel confident. The more at ease you are the more relaxed you will feel and they will then too. Last, if you enjoy their company then smile and try to talk one on one at some point to give them an opportunity. Men fear shame as much as women fear rape. Don't take it personally.

Geez. Why can't women just ask men out if they like them? Drop 10,000 hints but never approach, it's insane.
