Just wait until a safe male BC drug/ pill is available... no more "accidental" children men don't want...

1.73. Those are rookie numbers.

Correct me if I'm wrong but did that article just try to play it off like teenagers not having babies is a bad thing?

[–]MarinTaranu[S] 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No, it didn't, I thought.

[–]Siigg 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It seems like the article was saying all of those things are bad and going to cause population issues, maybe I just had the wrong tone when I read it

Feminists must really be shitting themselves now

Less people around is always good.

These days, definitely. The more I learn about global warming, the more I worry about the fate of my kid.

I've read this article like 3 times. Where does it claim the reason for lower birthrates on child support?

It didn't have to say it. Any decent journalist would have asked the question why. Problem is, the truth is too hard to handle. A better question to ask is how may of the children born are actually wanted, and not birth control accidents.

So without any evidence to back up your claim you insert your own opinion without including any reasoning you can the back to your research?

I'll give you an example.

The research says that there j Has been a decline of teen pregnancies with a decline of 8% for ages between 15 and 19. This would suggest teenagers have better access to better sex education, better access to contraception and/or they have having less sex

The only increase in birth rates were found in women in their late 30s and early 40s. In the Washington Post article they had a quote from someone who studies families that young people want to have children but dont feel stable enough yet. This could be things like job certainty, owning their own house, relationship stability etc.

The Washington Post article also points out that the US birth rate is still above other developed nations and that it could look at thing like maternity leave and helping young people with student debt from college.

This research points way more towards women opting to wait for the right time for them than men being scared women will leave them and claim child support.

It is biased. Nice try, though. Yes, there can be many causes, but this one was not mentioned, and I think it should. There is a men's movement, in case you haven't noticed, where men avoid marriage, because it's a losing proposition for the guy, so, that tells me that most births are the result of either accidents or entrapments.

[–]BrunoBashYa 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Who is being biased? That one journalist that you linked that purely reported the data in the research?

The fact that a group of men got together on the internet to say they won't seek a marriage because they don't trust women says a lot more about the men than it does about birth rates. Everywhere I look.it is still overwhelmingly more normal for people to be seeking and engaging in healthy relationships. There are just more couples choosing to have fewer kids, waiting longer to have them or choosing not to have them.

I.love how.the evidence you used had nothing to do with the research you linked.

Lies. damned lies, and statistics. It was nice chatting with you, really, but I took a Zanax+ double shot of J&B, so now it's off to bed. To be continued?

Lol. You are the one that posted the statistics bro..... are you the fake news?

Also, be careful abusing prescription meds. That isn't healthy
