This is probably not a PPD unless you saw their sales figures. It would show that they were denied. You can't remove 50% of your consumer base and expect to be profitable. Only fools come up with this type of business strategy. I don't care if you are man, woman, any color, religion, creed, sexual orientation, gender orientation or what ever. If you want to buy my widgets, I will sell them to you.

Often female shirts cost the same or more for a smaller and crappier quality t-shirt. Based on band merch, anyway. Which is why I get men’s S even though they’re too snug in the hips. Thicker cotton and cheaper.

Men's T shirts to tend to contain more material, so a higher unit cost does not seem unreasonable.

That said, if they were in favour of equality (or were bright enough), they would adjust their pricing strategy such that charging one price for all shirts in any size would make them the same profits.
