Is there any evidence that most poets at this level are women? It's possible, but if that is not the case then we clearly have an anti-male bias going on.

Poetry has historically been dominated by men (including through the modern era after "gender equality"). The same is true for other forms of art and literature as well.

Maybe that's changing but I've always seen it used as an argument against the "dumb men, complex women" stereotype.

Like if men are so dumb and emotionally barren, and women are so creative and emotionally unique / complex, why are most forms of art dominated by men?
