You're wrong about these statistics. Recent research shows that borderline personality disorder has been under reported for men because men with it often are incarcerated instead of given therapy, and thus weren't counted in earlier studies.

There's also been recent research showing that the disorder (and other mental health issues) manifest very differently in men women. For instance anxiety in men is often viewed as anger.

Quite frankly 1 in 5 people have a personally disorder. There is a very strong argument to be made that men are often left out of modern psychological research which skews not only diagnostic criteria data (resulting in more men falling through the cracks, or getting the wrong treatment) as well as a serious lack at male centric treatments. Most of the current treatments for borderline, for instance, all were developed with primarily female subjects.

I'd wager birth control is responsible. I've been in relationships with a few women, the common trend between the ones with obvious mental issues (eg two of the girls had Borderline Personality, and one had manic episodes paired with anger issues.)

There was a common trend between all 3. Some "doctor" started giving them birth control as soon as they all hit 11-13 to "help regulate their periods." Not only that, but their issues would manifest differently when they changed/tried different B.C pills. either in frequency, or seriousness.

The real fun was that their parents all admitted these issues didn't exist, or observably manifest ubtil their bodies were being flooded y a constant stream of "HOLY FUCK I'M PREGNANT" hormones dumped into their bodies every day, but wouldn't admit/aknwledge it outright or connect the dots. I'd also wager they're all sterile by now that I'm 28 and they'd all be around 25-30 thanks to their bodies shedding extra eggs because their bodies spend 3 weeks per month for years thinking they're already pregnant.

The real thing to worry about is most of them didn't even get trials before feminists and the sketchy researchers making them started crying that they're "NEEDED NOW" and that safety trials would be sexist/racist/opression.

30 or 40 years later and look where we are at now.

Shit, I'd even wager that birth control had a role to play in the elevated divorce/cheating rates since it went public. Womens bodies think they are constantly pregnant, but the brain knows better and realizes they aren't gettig pregnant, so they're subconciously thinking their partner is sterile/broken so they chase looking for someone who is. (though their brain can't connect the dots on it's own because of the daily hornone cocktail being consumed.)
