I don't think men "choose" to live with their parents longer. I think this is more a result of necessity or practicality. This is likely an effect of men having a harder time getting jobs(both because they are competing against women and because women are generally given a preferential treatment over men in most professional settings), an effect of male depression(which links back to hypergamy, systematic misandry and an epidemic of lonely men), and an effect of having fewer opportunities in terms of finding women willing to commit and build a home(women want to marry later in life).

There is also the fact that men are often far more harshly judged for living at home than women are(women living at home aren't judged for it by men but men who live at home are viewed as unmasculine failures or "men-children" by women), creating a self-reinforcing problem based on gender roles.

There is also the fact that men would also likely have fewer opportunities to co-habit or rent, as many home-owners seeking roommates or tenants would also often discriminate against men explicitly.

There's also the fact that housing seems to have gotten a lot more expensive over the past few decades, making it very difficult for men to just go straight to living on their own.

First, not everyone needs a university education. The sooner men stop doing this, and supporting these institutions, the better. Men are better off going to trade schools while young and having a good career in the trade. You can then use that experience to work your way into the less physical side of those jobs. Or take on line courses for white collar jobs.

Second, get out there, get a room mate with a friend, and learn how to adult.

This is more an economic issue than a rights one. People can't afford houses since education gets you a shit-block tied to your ankle for the next number of years.

The only option is to live with someone else to help cover rent, or live with your parents who got into the housing market while it wasn't obscene.

I moved out at 17 for a few months, then moved out again at 21 for a few months, then finally bought a house at 23. Rental income from my 2 spare rooms mostly pays the mortgage. I went to a cheap community college and found a job straight out of school. Only a small portion of my success was blind luck (in my opinion). I've just been serious about personal finances for a long time. Always used a budgeting app, calculated everything, pushed for raises at work, etc.
