Look, I hate the whole self-delusion aspect of the "body positivity" movement. I am not a model, so I get why no one wants to take pictures of me, naked or otherwise. If I wanted that, I would pursue that, and maybe I'd succeed, but to suggest that "the industry" should showcase guys like me is a bit silly. I get why they don't; they want to showcase their product associated with an ideal, and I ain't it. That's fair.

That's a rabbit hole I don't necessarily feel like following feminists down.

You getting it wrong guys. Maybe instead of doing the same irrational shit the feminist do you actually understand why they are wrong? It shouldn't be "oh, feminists say it is fine to be fat or skinny, so we, men, should do the same". No, body positivity is the irrational unscientific concept. Being athletic is better than being too skinny or fat. It is obvious.

BTW this guy is more aesthetically pleasing than any 200lbs+ woman. And his face is rather handsome, so he is a bad example.

A lot of male catwalk models look exactly like that now though. The muscular physique was more in the 80s-90s. Androgyny is it now

I do think this is an important concept because men can fall down the same rabbit hole of unhealthy exercise and eating habits trying to chase the image of a man that they've been sold. Not everyone can be the Rock, and this does seem to have a stronger hold in media towards men than for women. It's important to note here that I said unhealthy exercise, because exercise itself is generally healthy.
