Or always looking at the greener grass when you can toss people and find new ones with a swipe.

Or you can roll the dice and pray you don't get screwed for half of everything you fought for.

Male lawmakers are responsible for this state of affairs by having constantly given in over at least three decades. The changes they have made (here in the UK certainly), have only ever been in favour of the wife.

I don't think that's too surprising. The incentives for marriage these days are terrible, especially for men. You're essentially signing a contract that entitles another party to part with half your assets whenever they feel like it and you're trusting them NOT to do that. Whatever your gender, people respond to incentives and there just aren't enough for marriage these days.

Marriage is about the least romantic thing I can think of. If people want to get married then good on them, but it seems like such an unnecessary gamble and hassle, most of it based on fear.
