This is one of the most annoying double standards. People like to defend things like this on the basis of "well he was cheating!", but cheating isn't an excuse for physical violence. Everyone recognizes this if a man beats up his wife for cheating on him; no one's going to be saying "10/10 headbutt", "Clean ass headbutt", "The headbutt was definitely a power move," etc. if a man did this like some people are there

On the plus side, there are a decent amount of people calling out the double standard, as well. So there's a least some progress there
