Yeah, they are really stretching by saying that the women’s World Cup is more competitive. The only reason why there are more goals is because there are like a solid 5 teams that have good women’s teams and the rest of the world doesn’t give a shit about women’s soccer. So those five teams shit on the rest (as seen by usa’s 13-0 thrashing of Thailand) and then you know that only one of those five will realistically win the whole thing. It’s so pointless. In men’s soccer the qualification is much MUCH more difficult, so you have about 32 teams that are not too far from each other in skill level. And every men’s World Cup has a solid 8-10 top contenders who have the ability to win it all.
