If 8% of all rape accusations are proven to be false and only 3% of rape accusation finish in conviction, it means out of all cases that can be proven, almost 3x more false allegations are made than actual rapes that occur... Just saying....

That's not really fair, seeing as one speaks of proof and the other of conviction. A more fair comparison would be how many cases of rape are proven to be true and how many are proven to be false. Not all rapists are convicted, sadly.

That is as much an abuse of statistics as the argument made by the other side. There are 89% in the middle some number of those, without a good way to tell which or how many, are true but unproven based on evidence.

Just because the accusation didn't result in a conviction does not mean the accusation was false.
