How sexist is BBC & this journalist Katty Kay for saying "Fake rape accusations get a lot of attention."I seriously hope that your son gets falsely accused and rots in jail for anywhere up to 40 yrs, well I wouldn't as why should her son suffer for his mother's sexism, but if hell exists she is going.

THIS IS THE LAST STRAW. A sick British mom who repeatedly forced 8-yr-old boy into having sex jailed for only 12 months as the judge felt she felt guilty & stopped doing it out of embarrassment. What the heck is going on? Why is this not viral? Feeling disgusted to be part of such a society.

This poor guy got 12 Yrs For ‘Making Out’ With a Teen, He Met at 21+ Bar. They didn't even have intercourse, but since she was not happy he rejected her and only made out with her, she accused him of rape, video evidence suggested that she was grabbing him to dance floor and he was pulling back

The Johnny Depp case speaks for thousands and thousands of those who actually ended up in prison for having done nothing but be part of a sexist legal system controlled by feminists.

Over the past 20 years, only 2-10% of rape accusations (Prof Ford's lawyer says she believes this was attempted rape) are proven to be fake, argue the authors of a 2010 US study.

So a study from before the #MeToo movement is being used to claim that false rape accusations are rare? Okay then

False rape accusations very rarely lead to convictions or wrongful jail time.

Right, because if they were fake but nobody found out before the conviction, it's unlikely anyone will investigate after the fact to prove it false. Just because the false accusations that have been proven to be false don't lead to convictions normally doesn't mean there aren't false accusations that are never exposed or take decades to reveal as fake.

Figures from the US Bureau of Justice Statistics suggest only 35% of all sexual assaults are even reported to the police.

I mean, if we factor in the fact that, according to some sources, men rarely report rape/sexual assault against them and when they do the police often either don't respond or file a police report after the fact, let alone act on it, I could see that a very small number of male victims report it. If we assume an equal number of men and women are victims (which, for all intents and purposes, is true to a point) then we could assume that most of the unreported sexual assaults are male victims. But, you know, it doesn't help the article's image that women are the real victims of this whole situation, so let's not talk about that.

According to Sandra Newman, every academic study on the issue finds that the most common type of fake accuser is actually a teenage girl trying to get out of trouble.

Often it's her parents who report the "rape" attempt. The studies suggest the false accusation can often stem from something as absurd as finding an excuse for missing curfew.

What about the women who report a "rape" because they were caught cheating? What about the women who report male coworkers as a political move to boost their careers or get rid of someone they don't like? What about the countless stories of men being kicked out of college for fake rape claims, including one who was kicked out for basically saying no to a drunk girl? What about the women and families in India that accuse men of rape just because the men did something they didn't like? What about the Good Samaritan that was "rewarded" for stopping to help a woman by being accused/publicly shamed for rape, lost his job, and is going through a divorce? These sure as hell aren't "teenage girls crying rape to have an excuse for why they missed their curfew" and I sure as hell haven't heard of any of those stories.

In many cases the fake accuser has a history of lying to authorities or committing fraud. She may well have a criminal record.

Huh... It's almost like they're saying not all women should be believed...

Excellent points, but you also need to back it up with studies and statistics.

Figures from the US Bureau of Justice Statistics suggest only 35% of all sexual assaults are even reported to the police.

The point on this line should have been that this means that women who actually experience sexual assault are not the ones being helped, but the women who have definitive motives to destroy an innocent man's life are being helped. This means that the current laws are not helping women, on the contrary is being used by female perpetrators to ruin men's lives. And, not to mention that if men accuse women for rape, the woman needs to be proven guilty for the same. The same does not exist for men. That is straightforward gender inequality and oppression of men. Also, women who are proven to be guilty of false accusations, are not convicted, which has lead to a sparkling rise of false rape accusations. And, just by calling these innocent men who are rotting in prison a "2-10%" doesn't take away their human rights. They are as much subjective to human rights as the rest of the populace. The judiciary system can't hold the right to ruin tens of thousands of lives of men every year by just calling them a "2-10%".

But the majority won't. Some 218K members of this sub would. But think of the sexism that is being spread against us to millions and millions.

I think so, I mentioned that in the title itself by saying "well I wouldn't". And, she definitely deserves to go to Hell for saying that.

Yeah, I got trigger happy there.

Cheers.
