I am also a woman and I sexually assaulted someone when I was 15 and when I was 16. It was not out of malice. I was always taught that guys want it. Looking back, it is clear in both situations that what I was doing was fucked up, but I didn’t get it at the time. Everything portrays women as victims and men as the rapists. I wish I could undo both acts. I would never sexually assault someone now but I think if I had seen more things directed at women, I might not have done it then either.

Yes, I blame feminists for raising awareness only of male perpetration. If they were in favor of equality, they would look at problems in a 'gender-inclusive' manner (which is the definition of intersectional feminism), instead of the gender-exlusive manner they have done so.

I think this 'privilege' that you speak about, has been created by feminists who only raised awareness of female victim/male perpetrator. I also think that this narrative has been easily swallowed up by society because of the empathy bias in favor of women. I therefore do not think of it as privilege, but possibly an result of human nature that has an empathy bias in favor of women.

This woman who sexually assaulted me was a legit pedophile. She is 30 years older than me. I was 11 when she started to touch my butt, even after I asked her to stop several times. I called her a pedophile to my mom, and my mom just laughed at me.

I read an article by a woman who said that she was sexually assaulted by another women and she complained that even her lesbian lover would not believe her.

You can thank decades of feminism defining sexual assault as something that only men do.

And the courts are extremely hesitant to jail women, it does not seem to matter that the victim was a woman, this is perhaps the only way the courts anti-male bias does women a disservice.

What happened to you was awful. And I'm sorry that happened to you. But I would criticize one thing:You shouldn't be "checking/acknowledging your privilege". While what you said about how boys/men would be treated might be - or rather, is - true, there is no reason to minimize what happened to you or draw attention away from it to what happened to someone else. It's okay to be upset about something that happened to you. Just because you don't go out of your way to make note of the fact that it could've been worse for some other group in no way implies that you are attempting or contributing to the minimization or suppression of what happened to others. What goes along with throwing out the "Oppression Olympics" is throwing out this obligation to constantly compare your experience to someone else, even if you are conceding that they have it worse.

You went through something horrible, and support should be given to you if wanted. The End.

That isn't to say that you aren't "allowed" to bring up the situation for men/boys or other groups who have it worse. If you find it important to do that, then it is important! But you are allowed to have what happened to you exist on its own, without comparison, deserving of support and comfort and whatever else you need for it. Supporting that society realize that women can be perpetrators is a good thing, but its okay for you to do that primarily because of what happened to you.
