My sister who is very anti-male will argue with me on this and if I'm feeling particularly bitchy I'll tell her "men *are* tougher because the support system for men is non-existent compared to women, in fact, tell me 3 places men can go to for help that you're aware of, such as battered men or men who are running away from abusive wives".

They're going to fail. I can tell you this with near absolute certainty. Not because they are men. Not because they want to build a shelter for men. Not because they go against the grain and "break gender norms" to do what feminists refuse to do for equality.

They will fail because they are trusting feminist women in womens' shelters to help them setup a men's shelter, trusting them that what works for women will work for men, or that they'll even actually help at all.
