It wasn't the family though. It was her estranged birth mother, who was after a payday. Her real family had nothing to do with the court case. Even at that, I would imagine she would have dropped it because she was going up against a AAA Hollywood star, with millions of dollars and a team of LAs best lawyers. Justice is irrelevant, she never had a chance.

Also, why didn't Jim just provide an STD test to clear any accusations immediately? Wouldn't that have been faster? Unless of course, he's lying. And he is rotten with STDs. Which he gave to her.

So if she didn't have any of these diseases from Jim, why did she kill herself? What was the end game there? Blackmail movie star, kill myself then profit? What?
