I remember some female friends of mine in high school discussing this. They were complaining about taking birth control and joking that if it were up to guys to take it they'd forget and everyone would be pregnant constantly. Bitch when this comes out unwanted pregnancies are to plummet like human civilisation has never seen.

I’m sure they’re getting closer but honestly I’ve read articles about a new form of birth control for men for about two decades now. Every time it’s “entering clinical trials and just around the corner” and nothing ever comes of it. I’ll believe it when I see it.

I’m passionate about this because condoms are crap and I have no other choice unless I get the snip. My partner has tried three different kinds of birth control and each one has messed with her too bad, it’s not an option. I hate condoms and so does she, it’s not even close to as good when I use one. So I sincerely hope this solution eventually hits the market.

Don't think this will go well in long run:

It contains two hormones - progestin and testosterone - that are absorbed through the skin when the gel is rubbed onto a man's back and shoulders.

Progestin - which is also found in most hormonal female birth controls - naturally blocks the action of the male hormone, testosterone, keeping the testes from producing sperm.

Disrupting hormonal pathways will end up badly in the long run.
