Male lives DON'T matter

Boyfriend dumps her. She cooks him in rice and feeds construction workers. A woman can never be cruel. She just wanted to feed the poor.

She just wanted to feed the poor. Of course, the first thing investigators did was to check if she is mentally ill. Because a woman can never be cruel.

What to expect when the nation's Women and Child Development minister Menaka Ghandi said she never heard men suicide?

https://indianexpress.com/article/india/never-heard-or-read-of-men-committing-suicide-says-maneka-gandhi-4728131/

However, the data, in fact, leaves her in a pickle.

According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), in 2015, as many as 1,33,623 suicides were reported in the country, of which 91,528 (68 per cent) were by men and 42,088 were by women.

Of the 86,808 married persons who committed suicide in 2015, 64,534 (74 per cent) were men, the NCRB data states.

who believes only men are capable of violence?

To complete it with Supreme Court judge who said Indian Constitution is feminist?

Were it not for the fact that she at least did some work for animal welfare, I'd totally hate her. Completely classist arrogant asshole

I still remember how she tried to say Jallikattu ban was a good thing and that she was sure all "educated Tamils" supported the ban in such a patronizing condescending attitude. She doesn't know the first thing about Tamil culture probably. Anyway, I hope the student protests sent out a message to her.

It's a pity that people like her and renuka chowdhary got to even be lawmakers.

I saw an interview in which, when Renuka Chowdhary was questioned on how the lax definition of gender laws affected men, she simply said it's their turn to suffer. That's the raw unfiltered feminist attitude if you ask me

Jallikattu was one thing.

Imagine multiple scenarios where old people and children were eaten alive in front of their family by stray dogs and this lunatic didn't allow culling of stray dogs.

We all know stray dogs needs to be handled humanely, by when the problem is chronic, you have to take urgent steps. Later you can find humane or slow methods to solve this issue. But, she and some or her ilks love rabid stray dogs more than human beings. That single episode itself was abhorrent as eff.

I think this is likely happening because feminism hasn't had time to browbeat every man in the country into submission so they are basically on equal footing with the Indian MHRM.

There are thousands of NGOs, individuals and mainstream media in India supporting women rights, many sponsored by western interests. Men's rights is still laughing stock as everywhere.

It was even vaguely said that last ruling party failed miserably because their female Italian party leader introduced lot of women appeasement policies, the Nirbaya case still back fired on them hugely, etc.

But the newly ruling Prime Minister who almost lived a MGTOW lifestyle leaving his married wife for ever turned out to be far pathetic in women appeasing politics. It is like a competition of appeasing women between political parties now, no dares to put a counter opinion now.

Yikes. I was really thinking that they might have gotten more of a foothold based on everything I've read.

[–]perplexedm 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not at all. India being a country with billions of people, there will be tens of thousands those who got into serious troubles because of law abuse and exploitation by women.

Family integrity is still a big deal in India, feminism is totally against families, in a way unimaginable in west. So, some support from that front also.

There is no credible voice in main stream media in favor of men. Very few NGOs (for eg., saveindianfamily.org) those work on those lines are spread thin, don't have mainstream presence.

That's really sad to hear.

While that is true, it is also important to recognize that in a majority of the society men truly dominate. Our problem has always been that our rich people have been following Western ideology for the past 100 years and have driven a wedge between themselves and the rest of the masses. Instead of attempting to be real leaders of their own society, they've allowed themselves to be colonized by Western ideas. Rich feminists trying to follow and implement Western feminist ideas instead of trying to truly help the downtrodden women from the lower classes has been a major issue. But it's also been good in a way because the people ultimately helping these poor women are both men and women from regular society who wouldn't regard themselves as more than notionally feminist/liberal and often even conservative. This has had a big role in not allowing man-hate to engulf regular society and men still can get their views heard rather easily

Related to this, you should watch a documentary called Martyrs of Marriage. It is on Netflix.

Yes did that already. Excellent

Brilliant! Is there an English version of the paper or a link to the article online so I can translate?

Please don't use ALLCAPS in titles. It detracts from the readability of the front page. Changing from allcaps to lowercase doesn't change the meaning of the title. It's exactly the same, just better looking and easier to read.

Lowercase letters vary more in shape. Some are taller than others, some go below the line. This makes them easier to recognise at a glance, and reduces reading fatigue.

It's also nicer to look at. There's a reason most words are in lowercase.

Web pages are available that make it easy to change your case, so there's no excuse not to!
