I do think that men tend to be more inclined towards equality as a principle, which is to say, men are more left wing than women are generally. Women tend to be more conservative and benefit more from a stable society so they are more likely to oppose change, and more averse to risk taking by themselves or others.

Early feminists said men were more inclined to accept their pitch for "equality for women" than women were.
