Yes, and unfortunately that applies to most cases of women sexually abusing boys and men. Often the best case scenario is that she goes to jail for some ridiculously lenient sentence in proportion to the crime. Other times she gets no jail at all. This is how leniently average women are treated; how much more so for a rich and famous woman who can afford the best legal protection?

The really sad thing is that Jimmy Bennett predicted that this would happen and this was part of why he hesitated to come forward about it

At the time I believed there was still a stigma to being in the situation as a male in our society. I didn't think that people would understand the event that took place from the eyes of a teenage boy.

He was entirely right, as too many responses have been either "he was a horny teen boy banging a hot older woman; there's no victim" or "let's give Asia Argento the benefit of the doubt", despite the evidence let alone the confession

That isn't long for an investigation.
Text and social media records all need to be subpoenaed from the service providers, and getting the evidence to persuade a judge to issue a subpoena can be fiddly. For example, the metadata for Brock Turner's photo to his teammates and subsequent chat was never subpoenaed.

Getting Asia and Jimmy's texts should be easy enough if they were ordinary texts, but some services are harder or deliberately do not store the info.
Also Asia's service providers might not be in the US. She would not have been in the US when critical texts were sent, and was likely in multiple countries.
