It's quite worrying and disgusting that for so many years Mods and Members have been happy to have this insulting and racists flare sitting in plain sight. "Eastern Culture" as a place to throw issues about India and maybe a passing Moslem is insulting and racist. It also makes it clear that other groups are not welcome. How about South America, Africa and evel The Pacific?

It seems that some years ago, in a hurry, some mods threw it up as a stopgap so that discussion of matters in IIndia and Arab countries had a place to be filed and away from everything else. They seemed to think that it was a good way to deal with the Men's Rights and Human Rights of over a Billion people. Of course it also shows how narrow minded some are when there are only English Speakers, Arab/Moslems and Indic groups on the planet.

When I was a mod and working to clean up the mess in the Back Room, Prepare New Reddit so that it looked like a sub and even got round to Branding Mobile Reddit after 10 years. The Mods were obliged to address my concerns of racism and begrudgingly agreed that the Flair should go and be Replaced with the far less racist and far more inclusive "World".

As readers can see it has not been done.

I would welcome the mods doing as they begrudgingly agreed to get rid of that RACIST and INSULTING Flair of "Eastern Culture" and Replace it with "World", and not continue sitting and procrastinating as they have done done for years. The time for debate and derailing debate by denial is over. If they want to be taken seriously it's time for them to stop making the sub look racist ... and some wonder why African American men don't join the debate here?
