I've been working on self-improvement for a while now and my SMV has gone up a good amount. I had been lifting since my teens but also got fat along the way. I've been cutting for a few months now and am at about 210 lbs at around 15 - 17% bf.
I've noticed a huge increase in attention from people. For example, if I walk across a bar I can see women out of the corner of my eye watching me. Women will hold eye contact with me during the day and when I break it and reinitiate, I notice they are still looking. Both women and men will smile at me and say hello in passing (note I live in a major city). Women will look at me and then immediately look at the floor or get nervous.
When I was fat I would approach with no restraint. Now, I am second guessing myself. I get myself into these situations where I am chatting with the hottest girl I've ever talked to and she is cool and I just feel an immense amount of pressure to be successful. I guess I just don't know how to deal with this increased attention, but I think it's a common problem.
Would love to hear from others that have faced a similar problem.
