I am a victim of a false sexual assault allegation, and it's on social media for everyone to see. I have no voice.

Throw away account. Thank you for taking the time to read this, but I really need advice from people of the internet. I've received death threats and my current/future career is in jeopardy. I've already spoke to all my close friends and family about this. I am eternally grateful for your insight and advice.

To make a long story short: I had a consensual one-night stand with a girl I met off Tinder. Saw a few red flags (such as holding my hand even though I just met her), but naively brushed them off. She asked to come back home with me, we had consensual sex, and then she left. Never spoke to her again after that.

Fast forward a year or so later, she has claimed on Twitter that I had raped her. She detailed the entire night with a handful of twisted lies. She claims that I manipulated her into asking to come back home with me. She claims she never resisted, said "no", or rejected me, but that I should have known that she was mentally/emotionally vulnerable and that I took advantage of her. Nevertheless, she litters the entire story with that I had raped her.

I have found that people believe her because it's a very serious allegation, and why would anyone lie about that? Although my close friends and girls I had been intimate with (that I also met off Tinder and became friends with) have taken my side. They know I am not the type to sexually assault any one and they have doubted her allegations. Nevertheless, this is damaging to my reputation because it's the first thing you find when you Google my name.

She posted my phone number on Twitter along with her story.

She found photos of me and photoshopped it with the caption: "I AM A RAPIST" -- as if I had written it myself. These photos (linked to her Tweets) are showing up on Google when you search my name.

Twitter took down the phone number, but has repeatedly denied my request to take down the damaging photos of me with the false claim (and they won't take down her post). What she wrote is untrue, publicly posted, reached a significant audience and certainly has harmed my reputation. I thought about reaching out to her, but she seems to be irrational as she claims on Twitter that she has mental health issues, bipolar disorder, and a hazy memory. I screenshotted these Tweets. She also asks people for money to pay her bills via Venmo and whatnot.

I don't know what to do. Twitter Support is unhelpful. I don't have a social media presence like her, so I don't have a voice. A free consultation with a lawyer mentioned sending a Cease & Desist letter, but I don't have her home address and he didn't take me seriously. I am seriously under a lot of distress and every so often I will have someone who brings it up. I used to have a large social media presence, so people often search me. But I am more worried about my job and future.

Please help me. I feel broken and I am reaching out to Reddit for any sort of advice.
