Author uses the FBI UCR definition of rape and interprets it to mean men cannot be raped, which I think is accurate although it seems like if you say that around here half a dozen feminist sympathizers pop up to tell you oh gosh no, that definition was made to include men.

In any case the UCR definition is a statistical definition, and not a legal one. ie it's used to collate the reported crime from the several states to the federal government under one column or another for the purposes of making crime statistics, in this case the outcome is that were any states to prosecute a woman for rape the FBI would likely miscategorize it.

But the states would never charge a woman with rape of a male to begin with. Not unless it's the rape of a minor, or the woman was busted for some other crime like burglary and the cops are just trying to throw any old crap on to the list of prosecutions the way they do. Oh or rarely if the rape is by a group then the woman can be charged with the rape that another (male) member of the group carried out, but not because of anything she herself might have done.

So the changes to the UCR definition are largely moot since I can already tell you how many rapes of men by women the states will prosecute this and every other year: zero.

That's the actual crime in Montana. Sex without consent. And it's not gender issue, that's the crime for female victims as well

I read on one of the threads the other day that the state this happened in changed their terminology to a non gender specific term. I don't know if that's true, or why rape is specifically gendered, but supposedly they would use the same term regardless of gender instead of charging with rape.

Because rape has meant "forced penetration of vagina by penis" rather than "forced TO penetrate a vagina" for a long time. And people are slow to change.
