Girls also benefit significantly from having their dads around - am I the only one who finds it odd that the title and one sentence specifically note boys yet the links discuss children? Why stress boys when the father/daughter relationship is often more at risk of when the father is out of the house?

There's no evidence to back up the claim that "boys crave masculinity," ie., do better when raised by their fathers as opposed to their mothers in a single-parent household. What little evidence I could find on the topic shows they do about as well in either.

7/10 people incarcerated were raised by a single mother. Literally taking rights away from women would cripple the crime rate.

The hidden moral of this story is that white men need to love black boys.

The more wealthy, more privileged white male needs to bring that wealth, experience, and privilege to bear upon the weakest in our society.
