I see these types of posts all the time. Honestly if you can't do both you need to check yourself and see where you're really spending (wasting) your time. "focusing on my career" is a good excuse that protects your ego. Instead of approaching that girl you hamster that "well I've got to focus on my career so I wouldn't have time or energy to try to date that girl so I won't waste me time approaching her."
