Thats old and still horrific. No woman should be allowed to die in jail because the people in charge dont want to give her medical treatment.

Yeah. There's a reason we made debtor's prison illegal...and yet shit like this still happens.

And yeah, it was a woman this time but this does disproportionately impact men and that legitimately sucks. This is a straight up, we can all agree we're against it issue.

While the victim was a mom this time, it's dads who are much more often exposed to inadequate medical care while being jailed for non payment of child support.
