I think this is partially due to men being sent to those places, whereas women who commit similar crimes are not (or at least not the same place). My therapist also works with sex offenders and afaik they’re all men. I imagine there are places female sex offenders are sent, but knowing how women who commit those crimes are often not taken as seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were virtually none.

Can you point me to some sex offender (or domestic violence perpetrator even) therapy programs for women? When I looked and asked government officials there were none in my state.
