Excuse might as well have been, "I was too tired and didn't want to open my eyes." At the very least, reckless endangerment which ultimately resulted in a man's death because of her willful negligence.

I knew the can man personally. He was a super nice guy. He he would collect cans all morning downtown and ride to the recycling place about a mile away.

The road is a 2 lane one way with parking on both sides, so the road is about 50 feet wide. It had just snowed and the woman had scraped a "port hole" in her windshield.

She struck him and then struck a tree, killing him. I see cars driving with obstructed views every time it snows. Always pisses me off.

I would chit chat with the can man every time I rode by his bench. He was a funny dude. Always gave a fake name.. Talked about conspiracys.

One time I asked him if I could get anything for him and he said he wanted "Justice." LOL His second request was a long sleeve button up shirt with button front pockets.

Shouldn't that alone warrant more than 30 days of probation? It wasn't an accident if it was caused by her being careless and probably breaking laws by driving her car while unable to see the road properly. Hitting that guy was vehicular manslaughter.
