I really struggle to approach and say hi to a girl if I like her. For example, if I see a girl on the street (anywhere for that matter) that I like, I'd like to approach and make conversation (or even just ask something as simple as "What's the time?")) but for the love of everything I just can't do it.

I don't understand why though, perhaps I get overinvested in the person and fear rejection. Everytime I go out I keep beating myself up everytime I fail. It's making me miserable.

I'm normally pretty good at talking to girls (and people) once I get past that first hurdle but just approaching and saying something (even anything) seems like hardest thing for me to do.

Anyone else go through this? How did you get over it?
