I grabbed the workplace death tolls from the US for men and women since 1992 to determine "Equal Death Day" for each year. Because equal pay day starts over each year I thought it would be fair to also start over each year.

Today we recognize Equal Death Day 2005. That's right. 13 years is the average. A few at first were 12. To reiterate, to equal the number of men who died on the job in the past year you would have to tally up female workplace deaths for the past 13 years.

Sorry for posting this at the end of the day. I wanted to post it yesterday evening but forgot. I wanted us to have this fact ready for any time a woman brings up Equal Pay Day.
