Hello to my favorite community and the subreddit I consider a home away from home. Here feels like an oasis of sanity in a world gone mad, and always a place for quality and original conversations. I've been an MRA since I was 16, in 2010, and I've watched the MRM grow from an obscure corner on the web to a connected network on the cusp of breakthrough into the mainstream. Throughout the years I've always wondered how the MRM can take that "next step" in public recognition, how to get that breakthrough moment. In the past 8 years I've made thousands of videos, comments, tweets, posts, fliers, etc. I've talked to family, friends, and strangers, I've walked through the streets holding signs, etc. It's been frustrating feeling that I should have been a part of the growing public discourse on these issues, but it's like as soon as you come from the platform of the MRM, people don't listen.
For the past year I've really started taking a more observational role and widened my perspective of psychology and social trends as a whole, and how to apply them to the MRM. I work in Hollywood so I see first hand how public opinion is shaped by what people see in TV, and how "pop politics" work. I've been slowly coming towards a different philosophy towards how the MRM should market itself and operate moving forward- how to make that jump into a major social and political force of influence, and I think I'm very close to the answer. For the past few weeks I've been going out and speaking to strangers about gender issues, SJWism, and finally the MRM, and seeing how people respond, but more importantly, why they respond that way. It seems like the MRM and anti-SJWism has never been more prominent than it is now, it that something is just "waiting to happen." A lot of people seem to have a grim view of the next 5 years- massive civil unrest, the fall of western society, etc, and I used to be one of those people. But now, I've had a radical 180 in a how I look at things, and the position of the MRM and what we have to do to win. So, I'm going to take a hiatus for about 3 weeks to make sure all of my thoughts are properly gathered, and when I come back, I'd like to present my idea for the new men's rights movement. I'll have a website, youtube, selected essays, and more.
In the mean time, keep being the best community on the web.

You don't get to decide what I care about.
And if you insist on marginalizing something I do care about, there's an auto-erotic act you can go perform.

You don't get to make that distinction.
