I'm sure we won't see a mysterious increase in posts from guys suddenly asking for legal advice on this sub as a result of this since we're the only ones who take the issue seriously. I do have to wonder how widespread this sort of advertising is on social media.

That sub is garbage and the mods that run it are a classic example of people who've let a tiny amount of power go to their heads. If you need legal advice go to a lawyer. Actual lawyers don't give free advice on the internet, and are hesitant to give advice to non-clients at all.

It's true, actual lawyers will also refuse to give any advice if you're asking for help based depending on the jurisdiction you're in. So a U.S lawyer for example isn't going to comment on a situation in the U.K.
They have to be as careful as psychologists like Jordan Peterson, because their professional reputation is on the line whenever they open their mouths on a topic. To be slightly off topic I think as well this is why it probably took so long for professionals to intervene with the stuff we're all dealing with because they were probably having to watch it and learn about it properly rather than jump in like everyone else was doing including me.
