I think the OP especially and those who are taking this view need to bear in mind something, this is Germany, where they have a massive migrant crisis going on. The majority of the constantly touted 'refugees' flooding Europe do not qualify for asylum status and are in fact economic migrants taking full advantage of open border migration and are posing as refugees.

This unfortunately is probably the best response these food banks probably could think of because they're likely terrified of being called racists by saying "Nope, we're not going to give to any random migrant walking in with a mobile phone who paid smugglers to get here food".

It sucks I agree, but this is more to do with the migrant crisis than them genuinely trying to discriminate against men. There's simply no way of them telling who is legitimately in need and who isn't so this is probably their solution, going by gender isn't a grantor of success either.

Well what they are breeding is resentful young men. It isn't really a pleasant thought, but starving, desperate young men are going to do what any starving, desperate person does when faced with a survival situation, which is anything possible to alleviate the problem. They may end up with problems with desperate, violent gangs. They may end up with foreigners turning to radicalized religion. Radical churches and mosques will be more than willing to feed people who can be brought into the fold. That is how they get a lot of their members. Society has made them outcasts, so they found somewhere very unhealthy to belong and now they are going to unleash their pent up frustration on those who refused to help them.

I see your point but am not convinced by the numbers. Mostly because there is no way of telling. It could be far worse or better. I feel really bad for those caught in the middle though.
