Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

Mother-of-two, 40, falsely branded a neighbour a sex offender because he 'made too much noise building a guinea pig hutch in his garden'. It seems for many women if they do not get their way they make a false sex allegation knowing a man is not protected by the law.

Ex-wife admitted harassment and was sentenced to a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge

If a man did that to his ex-wife, he would be sitting in prison for a VERY long time, and any future visits with his children would under heavily supervised conditions, if he was even allowed to see them at all.

What kind of crazy country allows a third party to cancel your passport??

[–]denyjunctionfunction 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The ones where they allow a spouse or guardian to do so, which is perfectly acceptable when there are sufficient checks in place.

More than likely she either forged his signature or said she was his wife still.

There are never any sufficient checks in place anymore when it’s a woman’s word against a man’s, not in the Western world anyways, because hey, the patriarchy.

I was going to say exactly this. All the paperwork that can be filed “on behalf of a spouse” is a disaster waiting to happen.

That’s the question I was wondering. Did she actually try to specifically cancel his passport, or did she falsely report him as having kidnapped the children, and canceling his passport to prevent him from fleeing the country is just standard procedure?

The standard procedure part makes sense to me, especially if you’ve got a potential abduction case. But if a country will actually let someone other than the passport holder themself cancel the passport, then that is just fucking disgusting.

To be honest I was thinking of something much more innocent like “our passports have disappeared from my home and I have no idea how it happened but I fear they were stolen by somebody”

What I do know is that “wasting police time and resources” (which is what you get charged with when you pull these stunts) carries too low a punishment considering the huge trouble you can get innocent people into when levying false accusations.

It is about time people get hit much harder when their accusations are proven to be maliciously fake.

The scariest thing about this is that if he hadn’t shown them those text messages, the police would very likely believe his wife, and he would be the one charged, and quite likely convicted and imprisoned as well.

Also, note how his wife didn’t even lose her job. They probably just thought, “Poor thing is going through a messy divorce, so let’s just let it go.” Would that be their reaction if a man did that? I highly doubt it

I had a male client who had left his wife after significant abuse by her. He was fighting to see his children through the family Court and she was throwing everything she could at the guy.

One thing she did was redirect his mail from his new address. This meant he didn't receive the court papers. He told the post office, police, and family Court and showed them the proof of her fraud. Shoulder shrug. Nothing.

Fraudulent use of the post system has a lot of laws on it and I'm sure one was broken. But it was a women doing it to a guy. Shrug.
